Custom Hockey Gear

I’m an avid hockey player, something that’s quickly apparent given that I play the difficult position of goalie. As part of my gear setup, I’ve undertaken the process of making my own handmade kit. Working with special leather, nylon, and professional sublimation pros, the result of tens of hours of careful software and logistical finagling is coming together to create the ultimate fusion between my historical and athletic interests.

Be it working around split panels, creating asymmetrical yet evenly-sized sleeves, or blending different software into a ready-for-print format, my experience in print production, prepress, and art and illustration allowed me to carefully create a seamless collection of jerseys and matching socks. Ranging from several different sizes and appearing in both player and goalie cuts, this jersey displays my immense technical skills and my ability to create intricate designs that can be brought to life through careful manufacturing.

Lastly, I manually customized (and repaired) my gear with nylon and special sports-leather materials. This process took hours and included countless  precise measurements , experimentation, and  creativity to work around preexisting seams and gear construction. The end result's crisp contours attest to this attention to detail.

All digital artwork was made in a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. All colors shown are part of the PANTONE color system. The final design was completely vector-based and printed in partnership with Beauty Unis.
